Our Red Sauces

Our sauces are all homemade! We use the freshest ingredients and have spent years perfecting the flavors of these sauces. We are sure there is a sauce to please every palate. You can enjoy the sauces warm as a meal at our shop or we also package them cold for you to take home.  Please check out our Pastaria and Pastaria Seconda menus for pricing information. 
ROASTED GARLIC ROSA  A simple tomato sauce that packs a lot of flavor with sautéed onions, oregano and whole roasted garlic cloves.
TOMATO BASIL Chunky tomatoes paired with fresh basil, garlic and onions. It’s healthy and delicious!
TRADITIONAL MEAT SAUCE Beef, Italian sausage and sliced meatballs in a savory red sauce. Just like mom’s!
TOMATO BALSAMIC Caramelized onions, balsamic vinegar, tomatoes and chopped fresh basil. We think the gorgonzola added is a nice surprise!
PUTTANESCA  Our version is a little milder than others, but still packs a little heat. Ingredients include imported capers and Kalamata olives, plus one secret ingredient.
VOLARE MUSHROOM TRIO  A rich tomato sauce with shiitake, crimini and button mushrooms. It is seasoned with salt, pepper, garlic and oregano. Pecorino Romano and cream add the finishing touch.
ARRABBIATTA  The name comes from the Italian word meaning “fire or anger.” This sauce contains fresh red and green peppers, shiitake and button mushrooms, fennel seed, onions, and lots of crushed red and black pepper.
ITALIAN SAUSAGE CREOLE A sister sauce to Arrabbiatta but a little less spicy and great for those that like meat in their sauce.
SHIITAKE ROSA Chunky tomatoes with shiitake mushrooms and fresh rosemary. Try this sauce as a special side to your favorite chicken dish.
